Talk:Lieutenant Governor of Nova Scotia

Someone with more vexillogical knowledge than me should write a proper description of the flag as depicted here. I have been checking each of the Lieutenant Governor pages and have discovered errors in several of the flag sections ... and have corrected those I can.

General edits[edit]

I made a few small edits to the page. A disambiguation statement is intended to distinguish between articles with similar titles (e.g. Mike Harris and Michael Harris). It is not intended to refer the reader to other articles that may be of interest (that is the purpose of the "See also" section at the bottom). As such, I have revised the DAB statement accordingly.

Having mentioned the "See also" section, I note that we typically do not list articles in "See also" when they are already wikilinked in the body of the article. Therefore, I removed (for example), the listing of Monarchy in Canada, since there is a prominent side-nav box that already contains that link. Skeezix1000 21:05, 4 September 2007 (UTC) I made a small edit to the reference to the Honourable Mayann E. Francis. She is actually the second woman to serve in the role of Lieutenant Governor. Her predecessor, The Honourable Myra Freeman, was also a woman. (NautiGirl 02:39, 16 November 2007 (UTC))[reply]

The first Lieutenant Governor post-Confederation.[edit]

Was it Doyle or was it Williams. GoodDay (talk) 16:37, 30 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Request for Comment: Should the term "viceroy" be used as a synonym for "Governor General" or "Lieutenant Governor" in articles on Canadian government?[edit]

I have started an RfC on this question at Talk:Governor General of Canada. All comments welcome. --Mr Serjeant Buzfuz (talk) 14:36, 20 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
