List seems badly wrong[edit]

The list of names seems badly wrong. I started looking at Peirson, who was not actually Governor but took command of troops when Corbet was captured and was killed the same day, then looked at other entries and compared with the authoritative source, the Jersey government Web site, and the article seems badly adrift. It uses a reference which doesn't seem authoritative, the World Leaders Index. On the other hand the Battle of Jersey article refers to Corbet as being Governor in 1781, which agrees with the World Leaders but not the Jersey government. As I don't have any knowledge or expertise, and don't know what has happened, I don't want to make any changes; maybe somebody who knows will - at least, Peirson (not World Leader's "Pierson") was not governor from 1781 to 1797 (he was killed the same day he took command, and probably not formally governor even for that day).
