John Stuart Mill[edit]

As far as I know John Stuart Mill did not use the word "corporatism". This needs to be clarified. Dictionaries I have looked at say the word "corporatism" comes from around 1890. --Timeshifter (talk) 17:11, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mill may not have used the word corporatism, but he endorsed positions that are equivelent to corporatism. The book that states that says that Mill saw "corporatist-like arrangements as inevitable". Unfortunately parts of the text have been cut off, including a subsequent quote by Mill. Here is the link: [1].--R-41 (talk) 03:03, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It needs to be clarified in the article. The book is this one: ISBN 9780739119945. Amazon.com might have the text online. Click the ISBN number and then the Amazon link in the "Online text" section at the top. --Timeshifter (talk) 16:11, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
