Combine articles?[edit]

Holocaust uniqueness debate and "Lessons of the Holocaust" seem to be very intertwined and I think they'd benefit to be combined. As is, both articles hit some pretty high minded academic ideas, but there's not enough info in either to give the average person a good understanding of the academic debate. I think putting them together would be more informative. Mulehoss (talk) 06:46, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think they can be covered together, because whether it is unique doesn't necessarily influence the lessons drawn. Expansion, not merging, is the best solution. (t · c) buidhe 17:15, 29 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
This article is very poorly defined (in some contexts, this can mean Holocaust education, in others, various stuff like the uniqueness debate mentioned above). I support merging this somewhere. "Lessons of..." is not encyclopedic style. After merging, this should be a disambig. Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 08:18, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No, the topic is very clearly defined and separate from what you suggest. It is the supposed moral, ethical, or political meanings or message that are derived from the Holocaust. As opposed to Holocasut education which is teaching about the Holocaust itself (although the premise of most Holocaust education is that the supposed lessons actually exist). The topic is clearly notable as indicated by the cited sources. Therefore, merging is inappropriate. (t · c) buidhe 20:50, 1 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with the last two comments (both confusing, and don't merge). I was confused in a third way, as I expected to find the book here. I've added a {{For}} template to take care of that, as a disambig page would be overkill, I think. Mathglot (talk) 21:56, 3 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
