Fictional Amputees[edit]

Why is he classed as an amputee?

Leo wasn't always the hero[edit]

"He is also, arguably, the main character of the TMNT stories."

In the TV series, yes. But in the original comics and live action movies, Raphael seems to be the main character.

Nindo?[edit]

I can't seem to find any reference to Nindo, either in Wikipedia or a cursory search Google. How does it differ from Bushido, and where is this cited? — T-Boy: (complain bitterly) (laugh contemptuously) 02:56, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Does anyone know his height or weight?[edit]

Removal of Innacuracy section[edit]

I believe the 'Innacurracy' sections should be removed on all of the ninja turtle character bio pages.

There is really no reason to criticize fictional creations for not being realistic. There's plenty of other innacuracies with other fictional ninjas. Naruto Uzumaki turns into wood and uses a billion clone copies of himself but nowhere on his page do i see 'in reality, Ninjas could not shoot magical blue balls or create mystical illusionary copies of themselves.'

In fact, all of the 'innacuracy' sections on each of the TMNT bio pages read mostly as POV and fancruft anyways. So, I'm just removing them all now. TotalTommyTerror 14:20, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Any major innacuracies should be mentioned with the questionable statement once, and then left alone. There doesn't need to be a section on them (which could maybe qualify as being a trivia section, which is a no-no). Disinclination 17:31, 29 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ninjaken or katana?[edit]

Something about this has been bugging me for awhile. The "profile" listed on the external links shows that it is an official website, and even that says his weapon is a katana. Does anyone who has read an interview or read the original comics know what he called his weapons? After reading through the article, it indeed does look like ninjaken, rather than katana, due to the curvage (or lackthereof) of the blade. Disinclination 06:04, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Ninjaken" is likely not a word and should be removed. (At least in Japan, nobody knows about it!) Seems silly to say that Leonardo's weapon is not a katana, since "katana" in its broader sense just means a blade with one edge (not two) - nobody is saying that Leonardo is equipped with tachi or wakizashi or other more specificly named weapons. (Katana's etymology (think in terms of Japanese words, not kanji) is kata (片, one side) + ha (刃, blade).) Edededed 07:16, 23 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think it's better known as ninjatō, wich literally means "ninja katana", but definitely it's not a katana per se. The main difference with the real katana used by samurais is the blade, the ninjatō is straight and the katana is slightly curved. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 186.22.219.185 (talk) 00:41, 28 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Problem is, all the TMNT fiction have consistently called the katana since 1984, and we cannot call it anything else besides that. To do such would be original thought. oknazevad (talk) 01:46, 28 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Leo 04.jpg[edit]

I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Comics Sections?[edit]

Why are the comics section of BOTH Leonardo and Donatello removed? Raphael and Michelangelo still got theirs. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.208.227.163 (talk) 17:31, 17 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The '03 series[edit]

In the personality section, as in the articles for Donatello, Raphael, and Michelangelo, there is a heavy emphasis on the 2003 TV series with mainly direct references to events from that series. If this is supposed to be an article about the character from the franchise as a whole, there should be more information about other incarnations of the character in the personality section, or none at all. Since the article later goes into detail about his different incarnations, it might be best to trim down the personality section and cut out the references to the '03 series. Same goes for the other turtles. --Aozf05 (talk) 00:21, 19 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps......[edit]

Perhaps if raph has red chakura, mike has orange chakura, don has violet/purple chakura, while venus has cyan(lightblue) bandana so her chakura color can be sorted to cyan(lightblue), then through leo's personality leo should be indigoblue(darker blue)--the brow chakura as leo's bandana was finally painted darker in 2012 anime series. A skillful spiritual intuitive turtle leo with several great decisions should be wielding indigoblue(darker blue) chakura. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 27.109.176.157 (talk) 10:00, 25 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Youtube videos[edit]

I removed a reference to two youtube videos no longer available for copyright reasons. Is that ok? — Preceding unsigned comment added by RogueRanger89 (talkcontribs) 14:40, 7 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, because they're non-notable trivia, and shouldn't have been in the article in the first place. oknazevad (talk) 19:58, 7 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
