Citation re: New Lee DeWyze Pre-Idol Album[edit]

I couldn't figure out how to add a citation to this link: http://www.leedewyze.com/fr_wulirecordstoreleaseoldleedewyzematerial.cfm

I have received a press copy of the album for review, so I can confirm it does exist and is being released on February 14th as I updated. If anyone can add that link as the proper citation, I'd appreciate it. Thanks! (Kroessman (talk) 23:55, 11 February 2012 (UTC))[reply]

Early life[edit]

Can anybody shed why the info the tragic aspect of his early life keeps popping in and out? Is there any guidance the guidelines might shed one whether this info is appropriate... or not? 842U (talk) 13:33, 30 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Image to Commons?[edit]

Fans, friends, family - would anyone please upload a picture of Lee to Commons so we can use it to illustrate the pages about him? --Ancientkingdom (talk) 17:08, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request from 69.118.154.67, 27 May 2010[edit]

{{editsemiprotected}} Please change "Prior to Idol, DeWyze released three independent albums called So I'm Told in 2007, Square One Organics in 2008 and Slumberland in 2010, all on WuLi Records." on the wikipedia page for Lee Dewyze to "Prior to "Idol", DeWyze released two independent albums called "So I'm Told" in 2007, and "Slumberland" in 2010 on WuLi Records. In 2008, DeWyze recorded a song, "Parent's Wish" on an album for the baby food company Square One Organics" because Square One Organics is simply a baby food company that used a song that Lee sang on their Children's CD. It is not an album by Lee Dewyze.

W or w?[edit]

The article title and the article has him listed as DeWyze, but his father as Dewyze. Do they capitalize their names differently? Everard Proudfoot (talk) 02:39, 28 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Lee's film career[edit]

Will the person who kept deleting information about his acting role explain why he or she is doing it? It's part of his pre-Idol career, what's wrong with that? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.27.134.133 (talk) 13:38, 9 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

u should ask him if he wants this on here first —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.173.65.220 (talk) 04:47, 10 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
It's called a discussion page. To discuss things related to the main page. No one is required to ask for permission, this page, or Lee DeWyze article does not belong to you. Now give your reason.

r u a lee dewyze fan? bcause tht sounds mean of u...... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.173.65.220 (talk) 20:44, 11 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I think I should remind you that wiki is not a fan site. It's a place for factual information, if something is factual, then it has a place in a wiki article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.123.77.71 (talk) 22:56, 11 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
OK, we are getting somewhere, so your point is that it is mean to put that information in here. A few things to consider - 1) Wikipedia is meant to be an encyclopedia, somewhere where information interesting, note-worthy and pertinent to a particular topic may be placed. Lee's pre-Idol film career would be one such bit of information. 2) While you may somehow feel that the information about him in a zombie movie demeaning, many people would not think so. Others may find it a fascinating bit of information about his life experience, making him a more interesting and colorful character. It is also not a good idea trying to hide particular information about anyone when it is publicly available on the internet. 3) Yes, I'm a fan of sort (more of an American Idol fan, but extended to Lee as the winner of season 9). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.27.134.133 (talk) 11:36, 13 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

well how dod u know about him being in this movie? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.173.65.220 (talk) 02:51, 15 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It's all over the fan sites. Most fans know about it. And by the way, you are not suppose to delete other people's comments.

Can you please explain why you feel this information does not belong? We don't need to ask anyone's permission to add sourced information to an article. ~~ GB fan ~~ talk 06:44, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

is it a necessity 2 have it on here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.173.65.220 (talk) 22:49, 26 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

No it is not a necessity to have it in the article, but that is not a reason to remove it. Is this information true? Is the information verifiable? From what I have found the answers are Yes and Yes. Unless you can give a good reason why the information does not belong you may end up blocked or the article may end uo locked so you can not edit it. So please before removing it again give a good explanation as to why it does not belong. ~~ GB fan ~~ talk 03:06, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Please write in English, not iPhone speak. However, the sourcing needs to be to a better source than imdb. Everard Proudfoot (talk) 04:37, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

INCLUDE HIS CREDIT AS PART OF THE SHORT FILM! Of course, it's confirmed & verified. Do a bit of research! Just Google it! I'm not going to speak on behalf of Lee, but if you're worried that he won't want the info here, i highly doubt it. He's been asked about it many times & fans have gotten him to sign their copies of the DVD. He's acknowledged it!

The film is included in his article, so I do not know what you expect us to do. Aspects (talk) 16:43, 17 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Updates/Corrections on Lee's tattoos[edit]

Lee DeWyze has a new tattoo which is a depiction of the bridge of his guitar. He posted a photo of it on his Twitter account. It is located on his right forearm just below the Chicago flag tattoo. [1]

Also, the lyrics tattoo does contain words from Cat Stevens' song "Father and Son," but the lyrics "Lord my body has been a good friend, but I won't need it when I reach the end" are from another Cat Stevens song "Miles from Nowhere." [2] The other lyrics on the tattoo are from John Lennon's song "Imagine." To sum up, the lyrics tattoo includes lyrics from these 3 songs. To get the exact lyrics, we would need a photo of the entire tattoo which would be difficult to obtain as it wraps around his arm. Perhaps Mr. DeWyze will provide us with the information.

This is my first posting. I don't know how to edit the actual article, so if anyone wishes to do so and include the new info and correction, please feel free. Poettree52 (talk) 11:48, 1 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
