Scientific Evidence[edit]

I removed the section claiming that their was scientific evidence supporting lawn aeration but offered not references. You cannot just make a vague claim like that and expect everyone to take your work for it. IndependentObserverGhost (talk) 17:31, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Under the section "Lawn Problems" is the statement, "Lawn thatch is a layer of dead organic tissue that deprives the lawn of much-needed oxygen." Really? I thought plants required carbon dioxide. Jgreimer (talk) 19:32, 27 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Jgreimer, all living things respire and therefore require oxygen, including plants. Plants take up a lot of the oxygen required for respiration through the roots as well as the leaves, which is one of the reasons why compacted soils can lead to major deterioration in plant health. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.13.81.74 (talk) 12:47, 6 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]
