  • What are CHOTs? "Techniques like CHOTs can overcome the limit of optical detection sensitivity". I searched and can't find anything.

As of the Revision "19:31, 25 January 2018" Rjdewhurst17 added that information: CHeap Optical Transducer[s]

This is an article with up to now low information[edit]

The content of this article seems to be written by persons with nearly no industrial expertise in this topic. I would recomment to check e.g. the relevant industrial applications: Airbus has several insattlations (in Nantes, and near Madrid at Airbus Military - both delivered by Teknatom and IPhoton (Today Part of PAR). (https://www.researchgate.net/publication/236208610_LUCIE_-_A_flexible_and_powerful_Laser_Ultrasonic_system_for_inspection_of_large_CFRP_components) Both insTallations are a follow up of the European Researchproject INCA (https://www.researchgate.net/publication/318990439_Concepts_and_Applications_for_Laser_Ultrasonic_Testing_in_European_Aircraft_Industry, https://www.compositesworld.com/news/airbus-tecnatom-develop-new-ultrasonic-laser-inspection-system-) PAR is the equipment partner of Lockheed Martin, which has several installations in Fort Worth Another larger Installation was once at the McClellan Air Force Base with the UltraOptec LUIS747 System. (https://link.springer.com/chapter/10.1007%2F978-1-4615-5947-4_68) Aerospatiale and Dassault in parallel bought a LUIS72 system, which was first in Suresness later in Biarritz. (https://www.ndt.net/abstract/cofren97/158.pdf) Important other industrial player was/is SMS group (https://www.sms-group.com/plants/all-plants/seamless-tube-plants/lasusr-measuring-system/) Still good in Business: TECNAR canada with the Photorefractive detection system: https://www.tecnar.com/lus-laser/ Interesting development for application on CFRP: adapted wavelength generating system for excitation laser: https://www.osapublishing.org/ao/viewmedia.cfm?uri=ao-55-6-1310&seq=0 "1  kHz 3.3  μm Nd:YAG KTiOAsO4 optical parametric oscillator system for laser ultrasound excitation of carbon-fiber-reinforced plastics"

There is lot of important stuff in the net. But avoid to cite academic rubbish. There is a lot of garbage published, which has no relevance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.106.177.154 (talk) 17:21, 30 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
