Alleged presentation in Cannes[edit]

In addition to other conflicting information on the film (although shot in black-and-white, it is often listed as a colour film on websites and in literature), Liliana Cavani's website states that L'ospite was presented at the Quinzaine des réalisateurs in Cannes 1971. As there is no source which supports this statment (including the Quinzaine des réalisateurs website, which does not list the film, see here), I excluded it from the main article.
