In my view SanjivShrestha3 (talk) 16:29, 19 June 2020 (UTC)

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Please do not copy article text to the talk page and make your changes as we cannot tell what changes were made. ‑‑ElHef (Meep?) 16:37, 19 June 2020 (UTC)

Unit cost should be removed

For one thing, it is not sourced, and really could not be as it would entirely depend on the maker, and for another, it's a completely bizarre piece of information to have. TiddiesTiddiesTiddies (talk) 21:20, 22 August 2020 (UTC)

Done - Agree it is unsourced, and although it is a parameter of Template:infobox weapon, it is meant for mass produced commercial weapons. - Arjayay (talk) 09:05, 23 August 2020 (UTC)

Khukuri is a Nepalese weapon which originated in Nepal. Make it clear and mention Nepal clearly not Indian subcontinent. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bhusan Aryal (talkcontribs) 10:10, 13 September 2020 (UTC)

Not sourced clearly. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 15:46, 13 September 2020 (UTC)

Please change the place origin

If you go and ask an Indian, a Pakistani, a Bangladeshi or a Srilankan that whether they have a Khukuri in their home I am pretty sure they will reply with no. But if you ask a Nepali each and everyone will say yes. It is our pride that we invented Khukuri. All those khukuri used in British and Indian army are used by Gorkha and now don't say that Gorkhas are not of Nepali origin Don't forget every Gorkha either living in India or UK all are Nepali origin. Everyone knows that Khukuri originated in Nepal and this is the truth. You wont get a Khukuri in an Indian man's house but you'll surely get in a Nepali man's house. Please clearly specify the place of origin.

The exact place of origin is not sourced clearly. Note that Kukhri like weapons existed since prehistory in South Asia. Besides, the article heavily emphasizes association of Gurkhas with it. No extra POV needed. And yes Khukris can be found in Indian houses, I've seen in many of my friends houses. Look, you cannot make arbitrary claims like that. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:12, 20 September 2020 (UTC)

Name of additional knive

The name of the additional kníve, other than the karda, is presently given as "checkmark". Even though I have no sources to prove it, my impression from all other places on the 'net is that the usual English name and spelling of the sharpening knive is "chakmak". 88.73.157.103 (talk) 11:28, 17 January 2021 (UTC)

Khukuri is originally from Nepal not india

Not done: as you have not cited reliable sources to back up your request, without which no information should be added to, or changed in, any article.
I think you will find that the kukri was developed before either India or Nepal existed, hence the use of "Indian sub-continent", which covers the areas of both the current states. - Arjayay (talk) 09:20, 13 June 2021 (UTC)

Kookery?

Many in the west say and spell it as kookery. This is obviously colloquial, but is notable enough in my mind to warrant a mention or passing allusion. Mebigrouxboy (talk) 21:05, 27 November 2021 (UTC)

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. You must display this is notable by providing secondary sources discussing it. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 18:16, 25 January 2022 (UTC)

Use of non-Independent source and possible POV

@Drmies and Arjayay: Hi, it is response to changes made by User:Kungfupanda01 here→[1]. Large chunk of content had been moved, alongwith removal of the word 'India' from the lead, without any discussion in the talk page, backed by a source from gurkhabde.com which doesn't seem WP:RS (WP:HISTRS) WP:Independent source. Content changes like these would require consensus here. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:41, 19 February 2022 (UTC)

Hi Fylindfotberserk - Historically, there have been multiple attempts to remove all mentions of India from this article. I agree the reference doesn't look WP:Independent, so I'd be happy to revert that edit - Arjayay (talk) 10:48, 19 February 2022 (UTC)
@Arjayay: I'd support that. - Fylindfotberserk (talk) 10:50, 19 February 2022 (UTC)
