Intro
The introduction in the first paragraph is a really broad claim, and rather simplistic. While I like Kraftwerk a great deal, the band would not have been possible without the ground-breaking work done by Wendy Carlos and the album "Switched on Bach" which came out in 1968, a full two years before Kraftwerk even formed. Under Wiki's own "Switched on Bach" entry, it was noted that Carlos' album sold really well, especially among young listeners, and the music world sat up and took notice. During the composition process, Carlos worked extensively with the late Robert Moog, inventor of the Moog Synthesizer, providing feedback throughout the whole composition process, and enabling Moog to further refine early versions of his musical instrument. I don't know if the opening paragraph needs tweaking exactly. I'm okay with Kraftwerk being electronica and pop-synth innovators and pioneers, helping create new subgenres of music. However, Carlos made Kraftwerk and all the others who came after possible. DTavona (talk) 04:20, 9 January 2020 (UTC)
Henning Schmitz
"Henning Schmitz" redirects here. However, every other member of the band has his own Wikipedia article, including Falk Grieffenhagen, despite the fact that, according to this very article, he does not actually contribute to the group's musical performance/production. Furthermore, Schmitz has been with the group for 21 years more than Grieffenhagen has. Kraftwerk's Wikia page has an article about Schmitz[1] with similar information as Fritz Hilpert's Wikipedia article,[2] and significantly more information than Grieffenhagen's.[3] Therfore, I see no reason why Schmitz should not have his own Wikipedia article.JuicyGang (talk) 00:18, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
Krautrock, yes, but on their early days only?
Shouldn't it be mentioned that if they practise a krautrock style, as it being said on the infobox, then it's only on their early days? Which variety of English is this article in?
This diff changed "Kraftwerk are" to "Kraftwerk is", which is American English. Fine, if that's what this article ought to be written in, but that isn't necessarily clear to me, considering the European subject. No strong feelings, just making sure this is a conscious decision we're making. Popcornfud (talk) 22:17, 24 June 2022 (UTC)
