The article doesn't mention much about what kozmo.com offered. I remember buying last minute gifts from kozmo.com, which they would even gift wrap for a small fee. I am certain that the delivery person drove a car, not a bicycle. (This was in Los Angeles, not a bicycle-friendly area.) The article seems excessively negative to me, especially the section accusing them of avoiding areas where blacks live. Blacks can and do live anywhere, including areas within kozmo's delivery range. If kozmo refused to provide service to blacks, this accusation is merited. I doubt that was the case. If the basis for the accusation is that kozmo didn't deliver to high-crime areas like Compton, that is understandable for the safety of the employees. It is all speculation without 1) proof that they indeed excluded certain areas, and 2) the reason for excluding these areas was the skin color of the residents. I read the ZDnet article, and it was nothing but a speculative allegation by a special-interest group's spokesman.Gotmywaderson (talk) 20:49, 8 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I found the original MSNBC article to document that Meeks was actually an author - it wasn't really much of an investigation, really. So I've trimmed that section back to the bare-naked facts. MSNBC paragraph[edit]

I've trimmed the paragraph about the MSNBC article accusing Kozmo.com of "redlining" to the bare facts, because both the quote and the "defenders say" add nothing to the article. Discuss here. Merger[edit]

I believe it would be a good idea to take the info from E-Dreams and merge it into the Kozmo.com section: Post-Kozmo.

I mildly oppose merger because the E-Dreams movie article is presently missing sections on production and reception. As soon as those sections are developed, E-Dreams would be too big for this article. Plus, movies are usually treated separately from companies, though wikilinked and cross-summarized. ShopRunner[edit]

The logo for ShopRunner, a similar service that is currently used by ToysRUs and PetSmart is virtually identical to Kozmo's. Are they related? The ShopRunner website doesn't give any indication but the coincidence would be astounding. Not just for featuring a green man in the same pose, but for recycling a trademark that is well associated with a major marketing flop. It'd be like registering the URL petz.com.
