I wouldn't have described Agios Nikolaos as a "ruined church". It seemed in good order on the day we visited, and set up for use, as this picture taken just a few days ago shows Portrait of the author visiting Agios Nikolaos of Kourtaliotiko on 16 August 2012. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stratocastermagic (talkcontribs) 19:38, 22 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Palm trees[edit]

The palm trees in the gorge are native. I've added a wikilink to the palm species, and cited an account of the palms there, with photos of them and the gorge, posted to a website. I'm not sure that websites can be considered reliable sources, but given that nothing in this article is referenced, except for the occurrence of the lammergeier, it couldn't hurt to start adding at least some references, even if they could be improved. If anyone has a better reference, please change it to that. MayerG (talk) 17:50, 11 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
