Canute v Cnut[edit]

It says here that the anglicised form of Knut is 'Canute': I disagree, and I'm looking for more opinions for or against here. Nortonius (talk) 09:09, 25 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Knut vs. Knut (Disambiguation)[edit]

The disambiguation page seems to be merely a shorter version of this page; the two should be merged. 07:39, 3 June 2008 (EDT)

Knut, Cnut and Canute are all variants of the same name, I suggest that it is artificial to separate them. I also suggest that the primary meaning is the famous Cnut the Great, the remaining meanings should be dealt with by a suitable disambiguation page. I prefer "Cnut (disambiguation)", but "Knut" (basically the present arrangment) is a tenable alternative. I agree it is artificial to separate "Knut" and "Knut (disambiguation)". I agree the two pages should be merged. Both serve as disambiguation pages and share a lot of information. --Deryck C. 17:39, 9 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
