All Time Blockbuster film generally received positive reviews from critics, most of whom praised the performance of Salman Khan. Taran Adarsh ofBollywood Hungama gave it 4.5 out of 5 stars in his review and concluded, KICK is a paisa vasool, seeti-maar entertainer. Get ready for a Tsunami called KICK at the ticket window. It is sure to rewrite box-office records. Salman fans, rejoice. KICK is a sure-shot B-L-O-C-K-B-U-S-T-E-R. To quote a dialogue from the film: 'Woh apni Eidi lene zaroor aayega'. Komal Nahta said On the whole, Kick is a blockbuster of epic proportions! It entertains audiences of all kinds and classes. It is the kind of film which – to borrow from a dialogue mouthed by Salman Khan in the film – dil mein aati hai aur samajh mein bhi aati hai! With tremendous repeat value too, this one will shake the box-office, set cash registers ringing and ultimately emerge as one of the biggest blockbusters of Indian cinema. It could easily turn out to be the highest grosser of Salman’s career so far! KOIMOI mentioned Kick isn’t a pile-on, on Salman’s harebrained repertoire. Luckily, it has the thrill in its action parts and the fuzziness in its romantic ones. Salman sinks his teeth in a character that is a blend of his best roles, delivering a film that is a welcome change from his regular formulaic potboilers. Nawazuddin’s performance upped the bar of mainstream villain by manifolds and Jacqueline’s chemistry with Khan is sexy. Kick is no Ek Tha Tiger but it is an effectively enjoyable film that crackles enough to gives us bang for our buck! I am going with a generous 3/5. Raja Sen from rediff gave 3 stars and mentioned Kick is Salman's best film in a decade. In the world of harebrained Bhai films, Kick is the best made and the most fun. Kick, therefore, is the Dhoom 2 of the Salmaniverse. It looks good, moves fast, shows off its superstar. In the world of harebrained Bhai films -- Dabanng included -- Kick is the best made and the most fun. If you're a fan, you just hit the jackpot. Deccan Chronicle gave 3 stars and mentioned Seen purely in the context of its genre, Kick is an entertainer worth a couple of hours of your time on the weekend; more so if you seriously take to his dialogue 'dil main ata hoon, samajh main nahi'. The film is endearing in bits, but rational? We'll let you decide. Subhash k. Jha gave 4.5 stars and mentioned in his review “Kick toh banta hai, boss! The number of times the word ‘kick’ kicks into this heady cocktail of comedy and action, you’d think there’s no word in the dictionary that gives our hero a greater kick than…well, kick”. DNA newspaper gave 4 star mentioned in review “Kick is non-stop entertainment and Salman Khan at his best”. Zoom TV gave 3.5 stars these are small quibbles in a fun film. As Devi would say, "Dr. Psycho, chillati kaiko?" Just enjoy this cheese-Kick. Anupama Chopra from Hindustan Times gave the movie 2.5 out of 5.[32] Mohar Basu of Koimoi gave 3 stars out of 5 and noted that "Kick is no Ek Tha Tiger but it is an effectively enjoyable film that crackles enough to gives us bang for our buck!"
