This is indeed a rather old post, no one seems to have responded? Khudadad Khan, VC, was a Minhas Rajput from Chakwal area, one wonders how he has a Pathan grandson? Interesting. Khani100 (talk) 05:04, 17 April 2012 (UTC)Khani100[reply]

HE IS INDIAN not Pakistani. There was no Pakistan at that time and to assume all Muslims would go to Pakistan is bigoted. Please fix. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.92.102.90 (talk) 12:58, 10 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

lack of info[edit]

what sort of gun was he on? Machine gun, light artillery piece?GraemeLeggett (talk) 22:52, 1 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Probably Vickers machine gun. Confirmed by this source. Well, confirmed that it was a machine gun, not the sort of machine gun, though it was almost certainly a Vickers. The "five other men" bit is a clue, as the Vickers machine guns were operated by teams of six. Artillery gun teams were larger, I think. Carcharoth (talk) 10:31, 13 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Identity of wounded soldier in photo.[edit]

This article labels the wounded soldier in the article as Khan however the article for Darwan Singh Negi the first Indian Victorian cross recipient has the photo attributed to him instead. Clarification needed. 116.15.218.167 (talk) 11:39, 14 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
