Working principle Section?[edit]

Could just be me, but this section looks like it either needs to be really extended or omitted, seeing as almost the same words feature in the introduction. Freddflynn (talk) 23:53, 2 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Is this new?[edit]

This article reads like it was the recent Mac line that brought these to prominence but I seem to recall these as far as 20 years back or more. I don't have a cite for this, just shaky memory. ++Lar: t/c 22:56, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

External links and images[edit]

I have removed the links to commercial sites as per WP:EL. Regarding the images, they don't qualify as fair use since the article is not about iSkin, it's about the generic "keyboard protector", so I'm going to remove them as well. It should be easy to find free ones to replace them. Mushroom (Talk) 17:17, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Background section[edit]

I tagged this section as {{disputed}} since it's totally unreferenced and it may be untrue. If reliable sources are not found, I think it should be removed. Mushroom (Talk) 17:27, 26 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I removed the disputed tag, but retained three cite tags in the section. See edit summary. Aran|heru|nar 13:11, 30 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Bacteria[edit]

This article does not mention bacteria / germs.

Contested statements removed to talk[edit]

  • There are similar products for PC, but their significance is not as far-reaching as in the Macintosh circle. {{Fact|date=February 2007}}
  • There is a comprehensive product line of keyboard protectors available for keyboards but also for laptop keyboards of all the major computer manufacturers. However, for most of the smaller brands, a well-suited keyboard protector is usually a bit harder to find. {{Fact|date=February 2007}}
