The "Kelch is a surname" issue[edit]

I understand what you're trying to do with the text of this article Staszek Lem. That's why now I'd like to discuss the issue rather than go back and forth with what you call WP:OWN accusations. Editors like myself and Xezbeth are trying to tell you that most surname articles have had a similar structure; see also pages like Cok (surname) and Aab (surname) where their first line carries the same structure of "X is a surname. Notable people with the surname include:". I notice you made a similar edit here and also specified the field of study, which I would say is acceptable and is very unique compared to other surname articles on Special:ShortPages. Please also discuss your side of the issue if you can. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 17:38, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

While I still think that the statement, taken literally and without any other qualifications, sounds strange, but within the limited context of a small article I agree it will not create any confusion, so I am withdrawing may objections. Staszek Lem (talk) 17:56, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
It's okay. Like I said, mentioning onomastics is very unique compared to the other pages. When people visit the page for research, it stands out. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 17:59, 26 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
