Comments[edit]

Arvandrud is used in English to varying degrees also, so its not correct to say "in Persian". The Shat-al Arab article itself says "Shat-al Arab or Arvand Rud" so saying "in Persian" makes no sense. Both names are used in English, and in this Iranian context, its important to have Arvandrud also.Hajji Piruz 00:11, 5 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

PassTigiris ?[edit]

I changed back the sentence about Passtigris because it did not mentioned a source . I know the river Tigris is a Persian name with the meaning of (têz) "sharp". That's because of the rapid flow of this river compared to Euphrates. Pas in Persian means "before" , and I think I have read somewhere that the name of Euphrates was PasTigiris in Persian . Anyway , the editor may represent a source and may not delete the part about the film and Bakhtiyaris .--Alborz Fallah (talk) 15:55, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
