What section of the page looks like an advertisement? Anyone who put advert notice would clarify please? And at what point it needs more references? Doesn't it have enough references already? Nadesai (talk) 16:05, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of box office report[edit]

Certain user keeps deleting the boxoffice information from the reception section. I don't understand why. I have put their with citation. To the user, please refrain from doing it. Nadesai (talk) 04:52, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The real ending of the movie[edit]

I am surprised that nobody at wikipedia got the ending of the movie right. And this is when everybody is claiming that the movie credits its viewers with intelligence! Apparently the movie makes and exception for wikepdians. So much for the fans of the thinking person's director. ;-)

So for those still scratching their heads over the ending of the movie, here is why I think Charlie died at the end. This ending simply makes more sense. like..

(1) The girl Sophiya which we see in the ending as Charlie's girlfriend is the same girl which appears in his dreams in the beginning of the movie. It would be illogical for a character shown as a fictitious dream sequence character to be shown as a real character in the end.

(2) Assuming that Charlie did survive the gunshot, we still have to concede that he was wounded badly enough to become unconscious at the shootout site. It is difficult to imagine how could have he smuggled the diamonds out in such a precarious physical state.

(3) If Charlie was indeed supposed to have stolen the diamonds from the shootout site, the scene about him getting shot is really an unnecessary oddity.

(4) Finally, this is actually a common movie ending style. At least one popular movie, the Taxi Driver has used this fantasy sequence ending. Vishal Bhardwaj choosing this style may be his way of paying homage to Martin Scorsese. In fact Martin Scorsese is much more subtle in his ending of Taxi driver. VB is far more clearer in comparison. Or apparently not, judging by the fact that so many people missed the crucial piece! -—Preceding unsigned comment added by Sisodia (talkcontribs)

Wrong ending of movie[edit]

The page has been edited on 20th June 2010 and the ending has been replaced with wrong sequence. In this new sequence:

  1. Charlie kills Sweety.
  2. Guddu opens a bookie counter in Mikhail's name.

Both these sequences are wrong. In the movie Sweety is very much alive. She and Guddu get married and are parents to twin children. Also it is Charlie who opens bookie counter as it is him who is friend with Mikhail, not Guddu. It is argued that this is last dream of Charlie before dying and does not actually happen. In either case it is certainly not Guddu who opens the counter. I am inclined to revert the page to previous edit if the user who edited does not respond within a month.
