Punckhammock?[edit]

Zero Google hits for Punckhammock, but a couple for Punckhannock. Sources on the web say he's from the non-existent "Lucerne County", PA, but there is Luzerne County. Then there's always Tunkhannock (which is in present-day Wyoming County, which was created in 1842 from part of Luzerne County.). My vote is for his hometown actually being Tunkhannock, but without any sources to back it up, that's probably close to original reseach. Unless it falls under the "can be reasonably assumed from the data" or whatever that clause is. What do you say? Katr67 22:35, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ya, I couldn't find it either so I left it the way it was in the book, but it wouldn't be the first typo in the Dictionary of Oregon History. My guess would be Tunkhannock since a P & T could look alike, and Wilkes-Barre is in the Wyoming Valley. Aboutmovies 22:52, 9 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
