Joker (comic strip)Joker (Whizzer and Chips) – per WP:ASTONISH and WP:CRITERIA. Rightly or wrongly Joker (Batman) is so well known that anyone seeing this who didn't grow up in the 1970s in the UK will almost certainly confuse this article with The Joker (comic book) or another Batman product. • Oppose Batman is not a comic strip, it's a comic book. I think most people will know the difference between the two. If not, I am sure a hatnote would be sufficient.ZXCVBNM (TALK) 10:19, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Does it matter? From one (dab) to another (dab), not a big deal. And the problem is do we really want to stick a see Whizzer and Chips hatnote on the Batman Joker article? I think not. In ictu oculi (talk) 10:40, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - per Zxcvbnm. Let's try a hatnote first. -- Netoholic @ 11:13, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strong support - obviously confusing, and obviously not clear enough. There are definitely comic strips involving the Joker from Batman, as well; this is not clear at all. Red Slash 12:41, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • (Whizzer and Chips) isn't also incredibly confusing? If it had to move, we'd use something like (UK comic strip) instead. -- Netoholic @ 19:02, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Why is (Whizzer and Chips) confusing? That's the series. In ictu oculi (talk) 21:04, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
I think you're misreading. Joker is the series, not a character. Whizzer and Chips is the publication the strip appeared in. -- Netoholic @ 21:43, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Well it is both and both appeared in (Whizzer and Chips). In ictu oculi (talk) 19:51, 14 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support move to Joker (UK comic strip) per WP:SURPRISE. Surprise! I agree with IIO on this one. Ribbet32 (talk) 04:12, 7 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Oppose - I don't think either ASTONISH or CRITERIA apply here. Joker was a comic strip, and the first sentence is "Joker was a British comic strip." There's nothing astonishing about that. A hatnote here is more than sufficient. The Joker (character) article doesn't need a Whizzer and Chips hatnote because it already has a link to the disambiguation page, which includes a link to this one. Argento Surfer (talk) 13:55, 7 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
  • Support some clarification, since the current title can be easily misunderstood to refer to the DC Joker. I don't have strong feelings about what the clarification should be, but probably lean more toward "(UK comic strip)" on the grounds that it's likely to be better understood by more people. ╠╣uw [talk] 20:07, 7 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
