In September of 1999, while traveling by train from Norwich through Ely to Cambridge, my wife and I met John and Jill Powley. As our train stopped mid-way to Cambridge, my phone call to John's home resulted in his immediate response by his coming to our train station. John entertained us at his local Ely Country Club golf course and drove us to his home to meet his wife Jill. We enjoyed a short visit with them and then returned to the train station to continue our trip to Cambridge.
My attempt to paste here a picture of John and Jill's family has failed, thus no picture can be left this time.
