Criticism[edit]

Shouln't something be mentioned about the Armageddon incident? Laurinaitis put "Cowboy" Bob Orton into the HIAC match(a match which usually results in the participants ending up bleeding) knowing that he had hepatitis, and didn't even tell The Undertaker. Spyke 01:00, 6 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

3/12/08: Criticisms from shoot interviews that have appeared on the internet:

-In a shoot interview with Dave and Earl Hebner, Johnny Ace is implicated as the reason for the Hebners being fired from the WWE after 24 years of continuous service. Dave Hebner outright mentions Ace as the person who, for whatever reason, wanted him out. Earl implied that "someone" wanted Dave Hebner out because he was a better road agent. Earl stated that there was no good reason to fire Dave, so they fired Earl for his involvement in a St. Louis T-shirt shop that dealt in WWE merchandise. Both are very bitter toward Johnny Ace, and have attempted to contact Vince McMahon, but but believe that their letters were intercepted by Ace. They are both hopeful that Ace will eventually be removed as "head booker", and they will be able to return to the WWE. Their reasoning is that individuals in that position don't last very long, and that they have always been very loyal to McMahon.

-In a shoot interview with Sid Vicious, Sid says his infamous leg injury was due to Johnny Ace. Sid stated that he repeatedly refused to do a spot where he gave an ax-handle off the top rope, but Johnny Ace wrote into the script anyway. According to Sid, the injury led to a six-year rehab and furthermore served no purpose in the match. Unlike the Hebners, Sid does not seem bitter and placed the blame partly on himself for agreeing to jump off the top rope.

On a side note, I'm sad to see this article neglected and being considered of low importance. John Laurinaitis is one of the most influential individuals in the only major wrestling company in the world. Please considering adding these submissions to the main article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.113.95.210 (talk) 03:37, 13 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Innovated[edit]

So, do we have proof that Johnny Ace innovated the Ace Crusher? 'Cause we can't get people thinking that if it isn't true. --Oxico (talk) 22:15, 17 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Voice[edit]

Has there ever been any other mention about the throat injury he had that caused the raspy voice, or is his voice just like that and it was brought into storylines in WWE??--Mjs1991 (talk) 15:01, 22 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

John told the story on the Feb 24,2019 episode of Total Bellas. He said his voice was normal. He got hit in the throat accidentally during a match & that caused his voice to become the way it is now. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 104.162.217.122 (talk) 19:52, 25 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

lithuania[edit]

why is this in the wikiproject Lithuania. he is not Lithuanian?--Mjs1991 (talk) 11:05, 3 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Again proof of demotion?[edit]

Where is it? Anyone who has visited the corporate section of WWE.com would know he was removed from that section of the site months upon months ago. Triple H has the same exact job listed as when John was on the same page. This is not some recent change as other reports have said he still maintained his job. There so far to me is no actual proof anything changed at all. By the looks of it some no wit says he wasn't listed, wrote in to a dirtsheet and then spread the rumor till it was on all of them. Dirtsheets are not journalists, they are the scourge of tabloid rumors. Taking them seriously only ruins what credibility wikipedia can muster. Until some actual proof is rendered from a reliable source, this information should not be present on wikipedia — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.171.176.156 (talk) 16:34, 14 June 2012 (UTC) No EVP of talent is not same as EVP of talent relations. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.193.26.254 (talk) 23:14, 15 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Relatives[edit]

@Sabbatino: Instead of not assuming good faith and giving me an unjust edit warring template, how about you show me where it says in-laws are excluded from being listed under "relatives." You cite Template:Infobox_professional_wrestler, but it says "Names of siblings or other relatives; include only if independently notable or particularly relevant. Include the relationship in parentheses after the name (sister, uncle, etc.)." GhostOfDanGurney (talk) 23:49, 12 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]

First of all, please get familiar with the policies (WP:AGF, WP:EW, WP:DTTR, WP:DRRC). Secondly, blindly restoring content is edit warring. You did not make any effort to start a discussion after the first reversion. Thirdly, they are not his relatives. He did not adopt or raise them since they are already adults, and "stepson-in-law" is not a relative either. – Sabbatino (talk) 18:52, 14 October 2018 (UTC)[reply]
