slap

didn't somebody slap his face in the 1950s for saying the Queen sounded like "a priggish schoolgirl"? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 171.192.0.10 (talk) 14:52, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

Claims made by the Netflix series The Crown

I'm certainly not advocating that a television program should be cited, but I wonder if anyone has any credible sources which can support the claims made at the end of the 5th episode of the 2nd season of this show, which stated that this person was responsible for proposing a number of modernizating strategies which the monarchy employed beginning in 1958 to make the royal family more familiar to the common people. In the end credits of the show, writing on the screen states : "the palace later conceded that Lord Altrincham did as much as anyone in the 20th century to help the monarchy." At the time of writing, no mention of this is found on this wiki page at all. Youtryandyoutry (talk) 23:24, 12 December 2017 (UTC)
