Removing template message on article[edit]

Hello,

Disclosures: I'm 1) new to editing Wikipedia and 2) working with the subject of this article to publish his memoirs. I'd like to work towards removing the template messages that appears at the beginning of this article, and could use some guidance.

Today I replaced a citation that appeared on this article of the subject's personal website. The site no longer exists, and I also understand that that such sources are not sufficient for citations. I believe this helps remedy some of the issues in the template messages, particularly:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Biographies_of_living_persons

However, I'm not sure how to address the template message regarding verifiability and neutrality. And particularly since I'm close to the subject, I'm probably not the one who should tackle it. Nonetheless, I'd like it remedied.

If there's anything I can do here, please let me know. Otherwise I'd like to nudge the process along of addressing the issues on the page.

Many thanks Geographybee (talk) 16:59, 19 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Joel Kovel's conversion to Christianity[edit]

Greetings Wikipedians, I need help! this is my first time posting on Wikipedia. On visiting Joel Kovel's Wiki page I noticed there was no mention of his religious life or his conversion to Christianity. Considering the importance of spirituality to his life, and his conversion, this seems odd, incomplete. There is an extensive interview with Kovel by Phil Weiss, on Kovel's conversion in 2 parts; The conversion of Joel Kovel (Part 1) [1] and The conversion of Joel Kovel (Part 2) [2]. I think it deserves its own section in his bio but I don't know how to do that. If anyone can assist me that would be excellent. For the most part, I am a non tech person. lomaxr (talk) 19:33, 2 May 2018 (UTC)lomaxrlomaxr (talk) 19:33, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"Views" section[edit]

What do folks think about the very long "Views" section? On the one hand, I find it long but informative, so I'm inclined to leave it. On the other hand, does anyone have the energy to trim it back judiciously? Aboudaqn (talk) 02:01, 6 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Heavy reliance on one source.[edit]

The huge section on Views has become reliant mostly on The Enemy of Nature and should be severely truncated; it is much in excess of a good length for the article and is biased extra information that should remain in the book as an extra source. It need not clutter the article. Puraki (talk) 20:07, 14 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]
