The Talk[edit]

There is a more common Russian version of Joanna than the one provided - Ивана does exist, but the more frequently occurring verion is Жанна (Joan of Arc is Жанна Д'Арк) Mask0011 (talk) 12:53, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thank you, I edited the Russian names to include your information.

If you're going to move a huge chunk of an article, you need to explain it first.[edit]

Korny O'Near (talk | contribs) (Moved "other uses" into new page, Joanna (disambiguation))

Why did you do that? If you're going to remove so much of the article, give the reason on on the talk page. That's what talk pages are for. Without such a justification, the chances of your action being reverted are quite high. And I don't think the disambiguation page is the place for that material; it belongs back here. I agree. A discussion on the matter would have been useful, and the move seems like a bit of a botch job to me. Paul MacDermott (talk) 19:55, 4 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Gaelic form[edit]

If a discussion here is correct Johann is a Gaelic form of this name. Any thoughts on adding it? Paul MacDermott (talk) 12:20, 8 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Without a reliable source (other than "I read it on some blog or other," we can't use that. Johanna-Hypatia (talk) 05:23, 13 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
