Other comments[edit]

I reviewed the article a while back and since then paragraphs have been conflated and some minor issues were fixed. As pictures are no necessary criterion for GA rating I would advice for promotion. Hekerui (talk) 16:21, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I will be doing another review/pass of the article soon. Cirt (talk) 16:41, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Good article nomination on hold[edit]

This article's Good Article promotion has been put on hold. During review, some issues were discovered that can be resolved without a major re-write. This is how the article, as of March 20, 2009, compares against the six good article criteria:

1. Well written?: Yes.
2. Factually accurate?:
  • The using work= field should be used on the cites, so that the work is italicized.
  • These should also be wikilinked.
3. Broad in coverage?:
  • Yes, however I would recommend splitting Coasters, crisis and recovery up into two or three subsections and renaming them.
  • The WP:LEAD should be expanded a bit more.
4. Neutral point of view?: Written in a neutral tone.
5. Article stability? See above.
6. Images?: See above.

Please address these matters soon and then leave a note here showing how they have been resolved. After 48 hours the article should be reviewed again. If these issues are not addressed within 7 days, the article may be failed without further notice. Thank you for your work so far.— Cirt (talk) 19:30, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have changed publisher -> work in {{citenews}} and wikilinked each on its first instance. If I should wikilink on every instance, please let me know, and I will do. I have split the section as recommended into subsections and attempted to give properly descriptive headers. I have expanded the lead. Please let me know if this seems sufficient. I'm sorry, but I've so far failed to find a usable picture. Shortly after this was opened, I wrote to a newspaper that had published his picture a few years back, but, alas, have received no response. :/ --Moonriddengirl (talk) 20:00, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Cite 1 could use some more formatting. Cirt (talk) 20:04, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Where does it say work has to be used instead of publisher and that the cites have to be wikilinked? I wrote two "good articles" without either lol Hekerui (talk) 23:04, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Technically the "publisher" is the organization, and the "work", is the work. For example, The New York Times, and The New York Times Company. Cirt (talk) 23:06, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Okay. I've used {{citeweb}} for the Allmusic citation. There's no date or author information. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 23:30, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

GA Pass[edit]
