The Yiddish Policeman's Union[edit]

Can we have a source for that? It seems fishy to me. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.105.61.15 (talk) 00:03, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

unclear[edit]

in the first para: if he is retired, how can the following be true: "Today Landsman is a Seargent in the Baltimore County Police Department working out of a precinct in Pikesville, Maryland."

also: if his son is a detective then the book is wrong? "According to the book, Landsman was the last of his family line on the Baltimore Police Force." 202.82.171.186 01:00, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps his son doesn't work in Baltimore?--Opark 77 17:01, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I've removed the unsourced info about his family.--Opark 77 17:06, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
To answer the original question, Jay Landsman Sr. retired from the Baltimore City Police Department to join the Baltimore County Police Department -- Pemilligan (talk) 22:27, 4 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Retirement[edit]

He's noted to be "retired" in the article with no citation, but here-https://www.reddit.com/r/baltimore/comments/eq51d8/baltimore_county_police_honored_the_retirement_of/ - a tweet from the Baltimore County Police Department is referenced which is now unavailable; also a tweet from Homicide: Life on the Street creator David Simon- https://twitter.com/aodespair/status/1218529727683727361- references this, in January 2020, along with one retweeted by Simon. Are there any other sources confirming this?
