Discussion[edit]

Validation of article performed by WIKICHECK. August 17 2006 17:12pm. WikiCheck 17:12, 17 August 2006 (UTC)

Jason Alexander appeared as the character "Watty Watkins" in the Elektra-Nonesuch audio recording (CD 79308-2) of "Lady, Be Good!" by George and Ira Gershwin, recorded in August, 1992. My source? I have the CD here in front of me. Perhaps someone can place this information in an appropriate place in the main article, Thanks' 'Pseudonym58 (talk) 22:17, 30 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]

He also appeared in a TV version of Rogers & Hammerstein's "Cinderella," w/ Whoopi Goldberg & others.

At the bottom of the article it puts him in the category of "Star Trek actors". What Star Trek work did he do?

I think this is the work they are referring to.

Also known Star Trek work:

Star Trek Voyager. Season 5, Episode 20 (Production #214). Episode name "Think Tank". Jason Alexander guest stars as the character "Kurros". Brief episode description and plot synopsis:

I know Jason personally. He is Jewish. Also, his real name is not Jason Scott Greenspan.

Curb your enthusiasm[edit]

There is no mention of the two or three episodes he appeared in Curb Your Enthusiasm Series 2, this should probably be added, no?

Britney Spears hubby[edit]

What about the guy that Britney Spears accidentally married by the same name?

No he did not marry Britney Spears, that was a different man Brynstick 14:56, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Haha, was reading this and couldn't help point out that my local newstation made the same mistake and played footage of seinfeld over the story about spears marrying jason alexander. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 119.11.10.221 (talk) 18:08, 9 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Career[edit]

The career section needs to be ordered chronologically, right now it is just a jumble of "...and he also did this..." Brynstick 14:56, 9 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

where is the bob patterson show mentioned here???????? Brynstick would be very unhappy if that was not documented accordionly, beleive me!! 05:35, 13 July 2007 (UTC)

There was a recent sitcom shown where Jason Alexander played a blind man, but I now forget which show that is. Anyone know???

Lookalike[edit]

What is that lookalike bit at the bottom? Is that a fact and is it really necessary.

The Bob Patterson link needs to be changed to "Bob Patterson (TV series)|Bob Patterson"

Done. Madbehemoth 18:34, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Personal Life[edit]

Jason's son Gabriel's birthday is not August 1991 but May 1992.

Fair use rationale for Image:ST-VOY Think Tank.jpg[edit]

Image:ST-VOY Think Tank.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 09:27, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Everything's Relative[edit]

In 1978 he did a sitcom called Everything's Relative that isn't mentioned.

ASPCA[edit]

I've seen a few commercials for the ASPCA with Alexander in them, has he worked with them?

Jason's birthday![edit]

Birth name[edit]

The article as of now reads that his birth name is Jason Scott Greenspan although one of the cited sources claims it's actually Jay Scott Greenspan. 174.6.91.28 (talk) 05:39, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The biography on biography.com (http://www.biography.com/articles/Jason-Alexander-9542168) lists Jay as a nickname of his birth name, Jason.155.215.21.2 (talk) 19:57, 8 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There's an interview on YouTube with Kevin Pollak in which Jason says that his real first name is indeed Jay and NOT Jason. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.224.31.68 (talk) 21:41, 3 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Magic School Bus[edit]

I have never before heard of any link between Jason Alexander and the Magic School Bus, let alone him creating it? There is no other evidence outside of wikipedia, and does not even appear on the magic school bus page. Unless anyone objects this should be deleted... A black belt in karate?[edit]

Hey, I remember listening to the Howard Stern show around 2000-2001 and Alexander was a guest and said that he studied karate and I think he said he was a black belt. Not sure I could find the reference but am wondering if anyone can confirm this. Unsourced info from "Personal life" section[edit]

The following material (which I've removed from the article) needs to be checked and footnoted:

He is also the uncle and godfather of the Irish born actor Stephen Mullan, who appeared in movies such as She's All That and Tigerland. His brother-in-law is actor/writer/director Jonathan Penner (husband to Daena Title's sister Stacy) who appeared on Survivor: Cook Islands and left due to injury on Survivor: Micronesia - Fans vs. Favorites.

According to an FX trivia question during a viewing of Shallow Hal, Alexander started losing his hair at age 16.

He once acted in a dramatic play in Toronto called "Pearson Ole." The play also starred Wu-Tang affiliate F Jady and CGO Shah. Alexander co-wrote the play with filmmaker Nicholas Leone.

Human Fund[edit]

Surely the Human Fund charity thing in the Poker section must be a joke? If it's not, it should be sourced (the only Human Fund I can find online is a Cleveland school charity). — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheSix (talkcontribs) 05:37, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Original Name[edit]

Jay Scott Greenspan not Jason Scott Greenspan according to this interview: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ql5DmjSkLTw —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.169.22.8 (talk) 02:11, 28 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

TV Series - 2012 Clipaholics - Narator 8 episodes[edit]

Jason was credited as the narrator in 8 episodes of Clipaholics in 2012. Just saw the show (rerun, it was him talking for sure). Someone add it?

Seinfeld![edit]

Am I going mad? This article should have a massive section on Seinfeld, not just a link to it! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 58.106.233.43 (talk) 13:46, 7 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Merrily We Roll Along[edit]

An uncommunicative IP has twice changed the date for this; once from 1981 to 1984 and once to 1981/1984. IBDb reports only the 1981 date.[1] Until otherwise discussed or sourced, I am assuming the 1984 date is simple vandalism. - SummerPhDv2.0 11:33, 3 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
