Publications: excessive list?[edit]

Should Biography articles have exhaustive bibliographies? It appears quite similar to a Curriculum vitae, especially when the size of the list dwarfs the biographical text, and the actual CV is appropriately located at the subjects faculty page, externally linked. A more subtle solution might be to include a collapsible list for those interested in finding more, without becoming simply a directory. cheers, --Animalparty-- (talk) 18:32, 25 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed. It's a common issue with many academics who create or edit their own Wikipedia pages and add their entire CVs. The general public does not need to know every iteration a talk or a piece of writing went through. The external links can be consulted should anyone really need to find out how many articles the author has written. Buccinator Masseter (talk) 15:59, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Misleading title[edit]

This article should relate to Jane Bennett from Jane Austen's story, it's really confusing to have this page about the political theorist here 132.234.229.216 (talk) 05:29, 18 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
