Not in use today

"During his life he also devised many instruments for the transfusion of blood, many of which are still in use today." This is absolutely false, because Dr. Blundell's methods are DIRECT (donor to patient) transfusion methods, while in present time ALL the transfusions are INDIRECT. Blood is collected in plastic bags with anticoagulant substances, stored refrigerated and, when necessary, transfused to the patient. I don't know what instruments of Dr. Blundell's invention are "still in use". I think none. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.107.243.2 (talk) 06:09, 20 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
