Jack Purcell Community Centre name[edit]

The Ottawa Community Centre "Jack Purcell" was named for a local Ottawa man who was a Canada Post employe, war vet, and active with Centretown youth sports for years. When the City of Ottawa was looking for a name for the centre the community rallied and demanded the name rather than someone unknown to the community. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Labour Dan (talkcontribs) 19:57, 6 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Should there be a section on the City of Ottawa Jack Purcell Community Centre controversy confusing the two Jack Purcell's (The Guelph Batminon player and the Ottawa Hockey Stick Repair Guy)? -- Tim
