Birth Date[edit]

The local museum in Cobh published a booklet in "The Islander" series in 1999 in which it stated that Doyle was born at 12, Connolly Street, Cobh on 6th August 1913, no August 31st as stated in the article. Coolavokig (talk) 19:01, 24 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi everyone, I am related to jack Doyle through our family being WARD from Ballinasloe in Galway Ireland. My mother told me how Jack Doyle would take my Grandad out when he was back home in Ireland, one of the last visits was with his girlfriend Movita, who stayed at our family home in Ballinasloe and my mother slept at the bottom of their bed in St Brendans Terrace in Ballinasloe County Galway. It is very sad the way he ended up and was a wonderful man, the words from my Grandad John Ward R.I.P. My name is Patrick Smith son of Mary Theresa Ward. • Support per nomination. There are seven men and a racehorse listed upon the Jack Doyle (disambiguation) page and it does not appear to be likely that the celebrity of the boxer-actor was so overwhelming that it continues to dwarf the combined notability of the other six men plus that of the racehorse. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 07:45, 26 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Support per nominator. No clear primary topic for this title, and if there was, it wouldn't be the boxer. The safest bet is to have the disambiguation page at the basename. Paintspot Infez (talk) 18:05, 27 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
  • Strong support the boxer gets 1,819 views but the American footballer has 4,403, the journalist has 3,198, footballer has 831, the baseball player has 67 and the equestrian has 17. Crouch, Swale (talk) 17:12, 28 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
