The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air?[edit]

Why is there nothing in the article about the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air? This television show was very important to the popularity of the song, especially the Carlton Dance. —Preceding unsigned (talk) 08:42, 2 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

References??[edit]

Are there any references for the drummer and guitarists? Many sources say the drummer was Chris Slade. I also can't find any proof that Jimmy Page played on this record. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.254.69.189 (talk) 08:42, 2 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

can anyone explain[edit]

can anyone explain the timed clapping in this song? is it because Tom Jones couldn't keep pace? (i always found it forced) Markthemac (talk) 02:02, 21 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Isn't it snapping? Besides, personally I think it adds a lot the song, in a very positive way, and it also makes it unique, it's a very characteristic, easily recognisable song, despite being so simple in a lot of ways. Just my two cents - Bjørnar 20:47, 14 October 2012 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A00:C440:20:1116:6479:E3B8:D2D9:9E1A (talk)

Elton John at La Giaconda coffee house across the road[edit]

Suspect this could have been the first take (see e.g. YouTube "Tom Jones - It's Not Unusual (Original Take 1964) by John David Allen) or even a practice session. The only source for Elton currently is the YT video with anecdote by Chris Slade himself. Slade says he was there, but is not currently credited as the drummer in the article here, who is given as "Andy White or Ronnie Verrell - drums (also claimed by Alan Grahame)". It doesn't really stack up. Martinevans123 (talk) 13:18, 3 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
