Canal[edit]

The business about the canal is copied from the German wiki. Google Earth seems to show that the present canal is about 9km, runs south of the Reshotka and disappears into a concrete structure. About 3km from the reservoir what looks like a smaller, older canal branches off from the large one and joins the Reshotka.
