Their is more info needed[edit]

Can someone talk about the messed up fan art of her? Monkeyman65 (talk) 00:06, 28 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Isabelle's crush on the player?[edit]

People claiming Isabelle has a crush on the player because of her blushing on Valentine's day intro "I made some sweets... but I'm not telling you who they're for!" but there's barely any hints anywhere else, if any. Therefore I don't think most players perceive her as having a crush, and Nintendo itself claims she's crushing on KK slider (https://www.nintendo.com/amiibo/detail/kk-amiibo-animal-crossing-series/), not to mention... the player might represent a kid. Maybe we could state she might be pan, instead of making the crush on player sound like a canon fact that's often present throughout the game? --20FluffyKittens (talk) 09:54, 13 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

The section about Isabelle being pansexual isn't. It's written to show that fans think of her as pansexual and not cannon in any way (that we know of). "Isabelle has been perceived by fans as being pansexual, hinted at by an apparent crush on the player-character regardless of gender". The sources reference also back this up. Plus, having a crush on a opposite sex character doesn't make them not pansexual, as it is... well, the attraction to people regardless of their sex or gender identity. Is Isabelle actually the "de facto"/official mascot of the series?[edit]

Of the six sources listed to support this claim, only one claims Isabelle is the series mascot, and doesn't provide any additional citation for that claim. One of the sources is just a collection of memes about Tom Nook, two are articles about her inclusion in Smash Brothers, and the other two only mention her tangentially. This claim is repeated a few times across the site, but I can't find any non-opinion sources for it. Pastryfox (talk) 03:43, 22 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
