WP:VG assessment[edit]

This article's coming along very nicely, though I think this is still Start-Class. Most articles at this level need major cleanup because they're usually too game-guide-esque, but that's not the case here. Hence, by addressing many of the more major points here you could get up to B: the two main things holding this article back are lack of citations and lack of important information.

  • The two screenshots should send alarm bells flashing, as they have watermarks in. This is a big no-no. Fair use rationales could do with expansion - WP:FURG.
  • You don't need to make Iron Storm bold each time it's mentioned. There's no need to make a game's title bold after its first mention.
  • There's no need to have sub-headings in the Factions section. The amount of text there is means that it's not really useful.
  • Try to merge any one- and two-sentence paragraphs: short paragraphs make the prose seem more choppy and less pleasant to read.
  • This article needs more citations - WP:CITE.
  • Also, you might want to convert citations to use the relevant citation template - WP:CITET.
  • You could quite happily stick the World War Zero and Sequels section in one section under the heading "Releases and sequels".
  • Reception section needs expansion: have a look at the Reception sections listed at WP:VG#Example articles to get an idea of what to include.
  • Is there any information which could be used for a development section? If not, have a look at those example articles to get an idea of what to include.
  • Lead needs expansion per WP:LS: summarise everything in the article in two or three paragraphs.

Saturn Game[edit]

There is a Sega Saturn game by working designs, released much earlier, around 97, with the same title, it was a pretty good strategy-risk style game. Infobox[edit]

In the Infobox, the "Platform(s)" field specifies "PC". I think that the "Platform(s)" field should specify a value or values from the " Supported platforms" section of the Vgclegend template. For example, if Iron Storm only runs on MS-DOS, then Iron Storm's Infobox should specify "DOS" in the "Platform(s)" field. ProResearcher (talk) 00:54, 14 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sound problem?[edit]
