Certification[edit]

Please stop putting in 6x plat. I know this has been discussed before, but the MAD articles are the only reliable source we have found for this article. When there is another RS saying the same thing then add it in but for now it has to stay at 5x plat. Phoebus and Vandi's site are made by the same people so they barely count as 2 seperate sources. MAD gives us a date, and also if we are going to use the 100,000 copies thing you can't put in 6x b/c it is confusing and misleading. Phoebus' site for one, has multiple inaccuracies (as those things are almost always written by reps who have nothing really to do with the person) For one, it sources Kokkinou's Sto Kokkinou as being 2x plat, when we have it sourced as plat, while it also has Rouvas' Ola Kala sourced as gold, when we have sources that it went at least plat, (if not multi-plat acc. to discog??). If it were for some other album a couple thousand copies would not be that important but it is for this one b/c it has been recognized as the best-selling single of all time in Greece. We're not really supposed to use self-published sources for disputed topics b/c it doesn't always offer NPOV. Also, a special on ANT1 which owns Vandi's record label went through her entire discography with Phoebus in 2007 in celebration of 10HM and noted all of her certifications, saying that ipofero was 5x plat and btw profities is 3x plat, not 2 like it says on the discography page. The single Ipofero is 6 times platinum. You can read this in biography of Despina Vandi from the official site of her which is the www.despinavandi.com.

Also, in 2000 the platinum status was awarded to an artist when his single managed to overcome the 25,000 sales. If you say that Ipofero become 5 times platinum then it overcome the 125,000 sales(25,000 sales per platinum x 5 platinum=125,000 sales).
