2009: UK: in the UK it runs 18-24 May

The UK week is a different week, isn't it? Isn't that a NATIONAL vegetarian week? There could be any number of national vegetarian weeks and yet a distinct global vegetarian week, world vegetarian week, or international vegetarian week. MaynardClark (talk) 10:42, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Longevity[edit]

The article states that WVW began in 2008 when a group of activists decided to coordinator that first week of October, but the commemoration of WVW had begun significantly before that time. Please seek documentation for that event longevity. What you have can be documented, but I suggest that there is more. MaynardClark (talk) 10:41, 14 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Metrics[edit]

Can IVW or WVW measure 'audience response' or 'audience engagement' or 'event engagement' with or around (or from) the top-down communication of the globally-coordinated IVW/WVW? Some really powerful digital tools are now available for virtual events; the vegan and vegetarian communities are already using them, and buy-in and/or partnership/sponsorship for such events should be readily achievable. Is there (already/yet) such a dimension in what is being done with IVW/WVW? What has been happening with correlated 'vegetarian weeks' (e.g. World Week of Prayer for Animals that adds on the two weekends on either ends for the sake of engaging houses of worship?
