International Management Institute in 1927

There is a much earlier organisation in Geneva that appears to have used this name as well.[1]

Self-published puffery & huge red-linked alumni list

Surely we're not going to put a statement in the lead about "leading business school" supported only by the institution's own web site. If these rankings are true, then let's have proper references -- you know, the reliable kind. And what's the point of the huge list of non-notable alumni? Nomoskedasticity (talk) 21:59, 1 September 2009 (UTC) And now, having found a clear indication of WP:COI for User:Tonyberge, I have reverted the reversion to my edits today; any further changes to be discussed here first. Nomoskedasticity (talk) 22:11, 1 September 2009 (UTC)

I believe that IMD has earned the "Triple Accreditation" from AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS. However this information is not found on the main article page. I think it is useful to have it listed. Auditguy (talk) 13:44, 9 July 2011 (UTC)

The IMD article is much too long especially with the alumni list. Is there any objection to editing it to keep only the blue-linked alumni names? Auditguy (talk) 04:56, 28 July 2011 (UTC)

I agree -- and even for the blue-linked names there are no citations verifying that these people actually attended. The whole article obviously started out as an effort at selling... Nomoskedasticity (talk) 08:09, 31 July 2011 (UTC)

Name should read: IMD - International Institute for Management Development

International Institute for Management DevelopmentIMD - International Institute for Management Development – According to IMD copyright, the organization is called IMD - International Institute for Management Development. Please see the following document with the name in the copyright statement: http://www.imd.org/research/challenges/upload/TC057-11-WHILE-CHINA-RULES-THE-GLOBAL-ROOST.pdf. I disagree - putting acronyms at the start of a title only serves to confuse the search function. IMD can be specified in the opening line of the article and can also be added to the disambiguation page for 'IMD' with a link to this article. Even though the organisation uses it, it is clearly an acronym. ῤerspeκὖlὖm in ænigmate(talk)(spy) 11:13, 3 October 2011 (UTC)
  • Oppose. It should either be at the current title, or at IMD. But because IMD is ambiguous and this IMD is not the clear primary topic, the current title is the best option. Jenks24 (talk) 04:42, 4 October 2011 (UTC)

IMD Alumni - Trimming of List

The list appears long. Any objections on trimming the alumni list to retain only those with wiki link entries? Audit Guy (talk) 03:26, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
