How common is inbreeding in different species?[edit]

For a non-specialist, this article fails to address a basic question. How common is incest among different species? Does it occur in 10% or 50% of cases?

If the answer is at the lower end, then the assumption in the incest taboo article that the mechanism is a cultural issue would seem to hold very little water.Chris55 (talk) 15:47, 24 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
