Removed from article[edit]

I'm leaving this information here. I have removed it from the article as it seems trivial, but possibly will be able to research more and elaborate later: As of the In der Maurs, in 1396 a certain Hans jn der Maewr ab Pennoen (Penon, a small hamlet near Kurtatsch an der Weinstraße) appears in a local deed issued in the Habsburg-ruled South Tyrol.[1] -- Willthacheerleader18 (talk) 23:58, 25 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

English Branch[edit]

I am descended from Johannes In der Maur's brothers Hans Jacob In der Maur born 15 Jul 1755. I believe the brother's left Switzerland together and started their new lives in England. I have a question though, I have found the baptism records in the state archive. I see that @Willthacheerleader18:

for the English branch claims that Hermann In der Maur was born in 1728. I have looked through the baptism book many times now and can not find his baptism or his parents.

If the author has a source for this date (and the parents' names to boot) that would be good to add. — Preceding unsigned comment added by HolmesOfAncestry (talkcontribs) 09:37, 3 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello HolmesOfAncestry. Thank you for your interest and contributions to the article. Most of the information pertaining to the British part of the family is sourced from ancestry websites, which unfortunately are not necessarily reliable, but I am hoping to find more credible sources. Do you, by any chance, have a link or the information to the baptism records so that we can source the information you've added to the article? -- Willthacheerleader18 (talk) 17:23, 4 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sure thing: Baptism of Johannes In der Maur: http://staatsarchiv-sg.ch/index.php?bid=1467&m=&b=ZVA_12_1114_029.jpg
Look at the first entry of 1848.
Baptism of Hans Jacob In der Maur: http://staatsarchiv-sg.ch/index.php?id=&bid=1467&m=&b=ZVA_12_1114_043.jpg
Look around the middle of the right hand page, 15 Jul.
I'll eventually learn the Wikimedia syntax and do better edits. :)
Also feel free to look through the below record books to find Hermans birth (I couldn't). http://staatsarchiv-sg.ch/index.php?id=&bid=1466

Thank you! -- Willthacheerleader18 (talk) 18:13, 4 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm, what citation are we looking for? I see that my Burnes name name change is removed but I know this as fact as my mom is his granddaughter and I have DNA and Indermaur birth records that match the stated children’s birth dates in the Burnes family bible.

I can give reference to the ship record and the birth index for the children, I can’t share the actual birth registrations as the GRO holds copyright. And I can’t share the DNA confirmations due to privacy laws.

Is there someway I could contact you privately with the sources so we can figure out how best to cite the name change? HolmesOfAncestry (talk) 21:37, 4 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Bumping this again @Willthacheerleader18. I’d love to get this information reinstated without extensive edits requires HolmesOfAncestry (talk) 19:38, 4 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
