Is a merge appropriate?[edit]

Catalyst Game Labs and InMediaRes are in effect the same company. Both articles combined would show a greater history, allow for more references, etc, then one article. The question is, would this be an appropriate merger? Since it is a business and not just related topics, I am holding off adding a merger tag for now. Turlo Lomon 11:21, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, CGL is owned by IMR, but that does not make them the same company. IMR also owns Battlecorps.com and the forthcoming Holostreets.com. I can understand your point about the merger, since there is not a lot of information for either company, but if we did merge the articles, which would get merged into which? I'm not sure I'd be happy with it either way. Scaletail 12:03, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

As the parent company, I believe IMR should be the parent article, with redirects from the others to here. Turlo Lomon 12:21, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That seems like a reasonable proposal, as InMediaRes does not appear to have sufficient sources to demonstrate notability. --Gavin Collins 14:54, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I would be in favour of a merger. As I understand it Catalyst Game Labs is a division (as opposed to a subsidiary) of InMediaRes. Battlecorps.com, and Holostreets.com are both simply projects run by InMediaRes, although I do not know if they are considered to be under Catalyst or alongside it.
Either way, all four should probably be covered here. —MJBurrage(TC) 06:12, 28 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
