Article Suggestions[edit]

1. There are many facts throughout the article, but they are not all referenced with a reliable source. 2. There needs to be more reference to validate the information presented. 3. 4. I added a link to ATCC page within Wikipedia. However, that section is headed External Links; aren't these links within Wikipedia, so the heading External Links is incorrect? Sorry, I'm a newbie; please correct.

5. I was thinking about adding a reference to the book "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks", which contains material regarding how Henrietta Lacks is and why she is so important cell biology.

More info on the picture[edit]

Right now the image on the right has this:

"Scanning electron micrograph of an apoptotic HeLa cell. Zeiss Merlin HR-SEM."

However had, while the HeLa cell can be noticed easily by being big, what are the fibers and spherical "dots"? Could someone explain in the image description BELOW that picture, what these are? Just briefly, a sentence, or a few words, should suffice, so we can google for more info. Error in the Relation to natural biology part[edit]

Hey isn’t the part where it talks about how it’s about somatic cells that cannot divide acquiring mutations so they can but that’s just not true. Cancers often arise (if not always but not entirely sure of that) arise from tissues with cells still undergoing mitosis. It’s just that let’s say your skin cell precursor cell, that can usually only turn into skin cells, regresses back to a cell type that can theoretically turn into any kind of cell. That’s why the more differentiated cancer cells are, the less severe they are since they grow slower and are still more alike to regular cells of that tissue.

Not quite sure if that’s not a nitpick but I feel like it’s a pretty substantial difference, cancers don’t occur exclusively from cells that normally can’t undergo mitosis Wayzer107 (talk) 12:04, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
