Reaction of iodine with water?[edit]
I'm fairly sure that the equilibrium constant of the reaction I2 + H2O → HI + HIO is very low - this is clearly not the way to synthesize hypoiodous acid. Bbi5291 (talk) 15:59, 24 January 2009 (UTC)
- Absolutely right - I have corrected this using Wibergs account. The "iodine medication stuff isn't mentioned there but it may be true. --Axiosaurus (talk) 18:32, 12 February 2009 (UTC)
