A main focus of this article should be a comparison between how hypnosis is used in fiction versus how it is used in real life. --Blanchardb-MeMyEarsMyMouth-timed 14:19, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Such a comparison would be very interesting, and might perhaps be accommodated concisely in an expanded lead to this list. Otherwise, it might be given greater play as a section in "Hypnosis" or "History of hypnosis." Nihil novi (talk) 18:36, 12 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Move to "Hypnosis in popular culture", merge section from Hypnosis[edit]

  1. This article includes examples from television shows by Penn & Teller, Montel Williams, etc., so the title should be moved to the broader category.
  2. The Section "Hypnosis in popular media" should be merged into this article. --George100 (talk) 07:23, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That might work, and it would reduce the burden of the "Hypnosis" article.
If this is done, I suggest that care be given to placing items in chronological order within the individual sections of the "Hypnosis in popular culture" article. Nihil novi (talk) 09:32, 20 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Entire Article is Unfounded[edit]

There's exactly 1 cited reference in this entire article and it's a work of fiction being referred to as if it were fact. I would suggest to remove the entire narrative until verifiable sources are cited. 96.234.225.31 (talk) 18:19, 19 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
