The units are mixed in the article: Indians use metric system and the following is obviously wrong... Runway Length: 4260 meters (14 feet)

Under connectivity, I see a confused presentation of what is available as of date vs proposed for the future. Unless a project completion date is available, the description and information is useless and confusing. The following paragraph needs revision. Anyone has the details?

- Four-lane National Highway NH-7 with service lanes (on its west) - Four-lane Srisailam State Highway (on its east) - Proposed eight-lane 24.38 km access controlled Outer Ring Road (ORR) - Widening of 52-km Inner Ring Road with many flyovers with six lanes - Four-lane 11.6 km long P V Narasimha Rao Elevated Expressway - Multiple traffic management initiatives to decongest city roads - Alternate four-lane road P7 to decongest Srisailam Highway - Other alternate modes being worked out with State government include: - Multi-Modal Transportation System (MMTS) - Mono Rail Transport System (MRTS) - Dedicated Airport Train from city to Airport - 40 km stretch to be covered in around 25 minutes

- I hope I have addressed the metric units issue using the convert template. -Canglesea (talk) 15:56, 31 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There is a news report (http://www.thehindubusinessline.com/2008/03/24/stories/2008032451590300.htm) that the lufthansa flight was not the first flight to arrive at the new airport. If this is correct, the article may be corrected. 155.253.6.254 (talk) 17:44, 1 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I see in the info box, cargo and no of passengers are given without units. I feel that the no of passengers should be given as 12,000,000 p.a. (projected) and cargo movement may be similarly mentioned as xxx tonnes p.a. (projected). Also what constitutes One aircraft movement? one landing and one take-off or one landing or one take-off? There are confusions in several news reports about this. I suggest 1500 movements may be clarified as (1500 landing and 1500 take-offs) or (750 landings and 750 take-offs) in parenthesis. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ck.mitra (talkcontribs) 12:16, 2 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It may be important to mention that the old airport "referred to as the Begumpet airport" was officially called "Rajiv Gandhi International Airport". Begumpet airport was never, to the best of my knowledge, the official name for the airport. Ck.mitra (talk) 07:01, 22 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Redundancy[edit]

Same content was placed at various sections in the page. Lot of clutter. I have removed duplicated content--Sandeep346 (talk) 17:02, 24 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Greenfield[edit]

Removed the line stating that RGIAH was the first greenfield airport in the country as it was NOT. Cochin was. And Mumbai and Delhi were in a public-private partnership way before this one even opened up. --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 10:36, 22 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The pictures need some clarification and may be discussed or referenced in the article. For example, the meet-and-greet area is a curbside and general public (without tickets) are not allowed inside. Another picture claiming "modern facilities" shows only a number of scattered baggage - is it intended as a pun? A nice aerial photo could have been welcome.

Some information about the greenfield status (and some numbers) would have been most welcome. Generic comments like "best in Southeast asia..." are best deleted. Ck.mitra (talk) 04:26, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Local Languages Mixed Up[edit]

The Telugu says "Hyderabad International Airport". The "Urdu" is not Urdu at all. Rather it's Arabic, and it says "Rajiv Gandhi International Airport". These things should be taken from official sources. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.164.187.53 (talk) 15:29, 28 May 2009 (UTC) This is true. The Urdu is not Urdu but Arabic, and Gandhi is spelt incorrectly, even in Arabic. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.199.177.246 (talk) 11:02, 14 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Airlines and Destinations[edit]

Someone has severely messed up the airlines and destinations section. How do we fix this? 173.72.137.168 (talk) 16:31, 24 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
