Post-earthquake population[edit]

Moved from Talk:Huaraz/Comments where it was unlikely to have been seen. Astronaut (talk) 19:21, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The history regarding the earthquake may be incorrect. It states that 10,000 were killed and that there were only 91 survivors. The population today is given as 100,000. Growing from a population of 91 survivors to 100,000, even in 39 years seems a little too fantastic. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.114.111.41 (talk) 14:36, 7 July 2009

Have you not considered that thousands of people could have easily moved into the area in past 40 years? Astronaut (talk) 19:23, 8 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
