(Poker)[edit]

HORSE is also a game that is like Texas Hold 'Em. I came to this site expecting to find an article on how to play the game but found none. Please someone write one?

It's here. On line 14. See HORSE.--Munkel (talk) 23:54, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Warhol[edit]

I removed

* Horse (film), 1965 experimental film by Andy Warhol

bcz it is not discussed in that bio, nor even mentioned once, nor even listed. Red-links to it are Mick Lally, Edie Sedgwick, and the list Andy Warhol filmography. The articles Batman Dracula and Eating Too Fast, mention it in passing as other roles of Battcock, and The Factory lists it without a lk.
This is not a hopeless entry, but more needs to be done elsewhere to justify having one. I think that i, for one, would be satisfied by a section in Andy Warhol, or an article at say Minor films of Andy Warhol, that included a sentence about the content or innovations of each film. (IMO, completing in the Andy Warhol filmography entry would not suffice -- but O(thers')MMV.)

Why not link it to the filmography article?

Ungulate[edit]

(discussion relocated from Wikipedia Talk:WikiProject Disambiguation)
This dab page currently starts: "The horse is hoofed animal." It has been changed several times to replace "animal" with "ungulate". I have reinstated animal each time, with an edit summary to the effect that it's clearest to use a simple and familiar term on a dab page, but it gets reverted without comment. Those with views either way may with to be aware, and possibly to contribute to a discussion if one starts on the article's talk page. PL290 (talk) 15:10, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Not to mention that "hoofed ungulate" is simply redundant, like saying "four-footed quadruped" or "meat-eating carnivore". Definitely go ahead and try to engage this editor in discussion on the Talk page; perhaps something can be worked out.--ShelfSkewed Talk 15:25, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I would opt for "The horse is a hoofed mammal." to match the Horse article's lede of "The horse (Equus ferus caballus)[2][3] is a hoofed (ungulate) mammal, ..." -- JHunterJ (talk) 16:39, 11 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Subcategories of "things"[edit]

To what subcategory of "things" do the following referents belong?
